Routine Eye Exams in Independence, KY

One of the best ways to ensure proper eye health is to make a routine eye exam appointment at our optometry practice in Independence, KY. Whether you currently wear glasses or contacts and believe you might need a change to your prescription, or you don't wear them but think you might need to, having a routine eye test performed at Family Eye Health Center is a great first step towards seeing more clearly.

Why take a routine eye exam?

If you've been noticing any problems with your vision, for example when reading or seeing objects in the distance, it's a good idea to make an appointment with Family Eye Health Center in Independence, KY. We'll examine your eyes for vision and health problems. Should we identify issues, we can then look for solutions to correct refractive errors, such as prescribing eyeglasses or contact lenses. We may also provide low vision care or vision therapy.

To ensure proper visual growth and development, we recommend all children have a complete eye exam by the age of four years old.

What will we do during the eye test?

You will be worked up initially by our qualified technician. They'll take your history, read your current glasses and follow that with some preliminary tests.

Please bring the glasses you are currently wearing to your visit so we can determine if a change needs to be made to your prescription. If you wear contacts, we request you bring your contact lens boxes and prescription. Let the technician know if you are happy with the contacts you are wearing or if you are having any difficulty with them.
